A West Cornish pub has had to close until further notice after an electrical fire in the early hours of the morning.
The Shipwrights Arms, Helford, posted an update on their social media that they would shut down “until further notice”, while they investigate the blaze.
The pub owners said: âUnfortunately we have to close the Shipwrights until further notice.

âWe had a fire in the building, and while we are investigating the cause, we have made the decision to close for the safety of our staff and customers.
âWe hope that we will be operational soon! “
They thanked those who helped them by showing up early in the morning and confirmed that no one was injured in the fire.
âUpdates will be released as soon as we know,â they added.
“Thank you for your understanding. Hope to see you all very soon.
A Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service log dated 3:29 am today (July 15) said it had mobilized teams from Helston, St Keverne and Mullion to help bring the blaze under control.
CFRS said the fire was affecting a power consumption unit and Western Power had traveled to the scene to isolate the power supply.
The fire has been safely extinguished, according to CFRS, and has not released any further updates.
