There are a ton of little Easter eggs in Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild . You can find the Great fairies, hop on Epona and even visit Lon Lon Ranch from Ocarina of time . If you don’t remember, it was at the Ranch that you found Epona, your faithful horse companion, and learned to ride her.
How to find the Lon Lon Ranch
Lon Lon Ranch is not as beautiful as it used to be in Ocarina . Open your Hyrule Field Map and look for the “Ranch Ruins” near the Hyrule Field Tower. Dodge the Guardian who is waiting to end your life and you will find yourself in a burnt down village that looks strangely familiar to you. It looks like Calamity Ganon’s time in Hyrule made a number at the ranch that Talon ran all those years ago. I hope a cow knocked over a lamp and burned the place down instead of the terrible horrors that could have been unleashed there.
The layout is the same as Lon Lon Ranch, but there is nothing else there. It’s a bit sad when you think about it – Malon worked so hard to maintain these stables and keep the world supplied with Lon Lon milk. It’s a cute little Easter egg, nodding to the past Zelda Games. I love when the world of Hyrule looks like a real place, filled with cohesive places, like the Temple of Time.
