The fan remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Unreal Engine 4 appears to be making excellent progress, according to a 24-minute video made by the remake’s creator.
The remakes give players the chance to revisit the games they loved when they were younger from a new perspective with a few modern improvements. Nintendo has done remakes in the past, although these tend to be simple HD re-releases instead of full remasters. This lack of redesign inspired one fan to take it upon himself to completely redo The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in Unreal Engine 4, and they seem to be making wonderful progress over their previous versions.
A video uploaded by YouTube user CryZENx shows the Ocarina of time Unreal Engine 4 remake, and it looks stellar. So far, CryZENx has completed several different areas of the game, including the Temple of Time and Kakariko.
What is most impressive is the amount of detail that exists in the world, enemies and objects. The lighting is also very impressive, as it adds a certain depth to Link’s character model that has never been seen before. Link’s hair and cap physics are a little weird at times, but even those are a nice touch to the character. CryZENx showed a video of Kokiri about a year ago, although it has since been deleted by Nintendo. This new version is however much smoother than what was shown at the time.
CryZENx is still working on bug improvements but has implemented a better targeting system than the one featured in previous versions. The history of the game also still needs a lot of work, but the user is hoping to fix this until 2019.
The remake is amazing, no doubt, but there’s a good chance Nintendo will end up shutting down the project. The company does not tend to play well with others who use their properties, such as when a group of fans had their game No mario sky closed by the gaming giant.
There isn’t a solid release date for the remake, but hopefully CryZENx will continue to upload new video updates and demos.

Just days after the launch of Diablo 2: Resurrected, its user scores on Metacritic turn extremely negative due to a plethora of issues.
